Apply with workyou have already made.
VELO clips is assembling a founding cohort. We want a small number of people who can find the moment in long-form content, cut it natively for retention, and publish it through accounts they already control.
Read this before you apply. There is no guaranteed work and no guaranteed earnings. We do not ask for free samples, unpaid client work or speculative posting, and we are not going to imply volume that does not exist yet.
No cost to apply · no exclusivity
What we are looking for.
Four things, and they are harder to find together than separately.
You can find the moment
You can sit with an hour of conversation and come out with the thirty seconds that actually carries. This is the part that cannot be taught quickly.
You edit natively for retention
Cut, pace, caption and framing built for the platform it is going on — not a landscape clip with a caption bar stapled to it.
You understand platform culture
You know what reads as native and what reads as an advert, per platform, this month.
You control real accounts
Accounts that are yours, with a genuine posting history and a real audience in a niche you know.
- Free samples or test edits
- Unpaid work for a client
- Posting on spec to prove yourself
- Exclusivity, or leaving your other work
- Any payment to join
- Your niches
- Portfolio links to work already published
- Your actual role on each sample
- Typical turnaround
- Anything you will not work on
- The accounts you control
What we check.
Being selective is the point. A network that takes everyone is worth nothing to the clippers in it.
The published work itself: does the cut hold attention, is the moment well chosen, is the craft there without the source material doing all the lifting.
Whether the accounts are genuinely yours and genuinely active — posting history, engagement that matches the view counts, and no signs of bought audience.
Where your accounts and instincts sit. Campaigns are matched to niche, so this is what decides whether we can ever send you anything.
Turnaround you can actually hold, and whether you communicate when something slips.
Whether you understand that you may only use the material a brief authorizes, in the ways it authorizes, for the window it covers.
Whether your published work and accounts are somewhere a client's name can reasonably sit.
What you get before you say yes.
When a funded campaign opens and your niche fits, you receive the whole brief first. You opt in after reading it, not before.
Scope
What the campaign is, how many clips, and the cap on the cohort.
Authorized source material
Exactly what you may cut from. Nothing outside that list is permitted.
Rights
What the client has licensed, what you may publish, where, and for how long.
Brand rules and exclusions
The client's rules on tone, claims, captions and framing, plus the topics and segments that are off limits.
Payout logic
How payment is calculated for that campaign, in full, in writing, before you accept.
Measurement window
The dates performance is counted between, and what is being counted.
Timeline and opt-in
Deadlines, review steps, and your choice to take it or pass with no consequence for future campaigns.
How applying works.
You apply with existing work and the accounts you control.
We review it against the six checks above.
Approved applicants join the founding waitlist and the private community.
When a funded campaign matches your niche, you get the full brief.
You opt in, or you pass.
There is no campaign volume to report, no acceptance rate to quote, and no earnings figure we could give you that would be true.
What we can say: when work exists, it comes with the brief, the rights and the payout rules attached before you commit to anything.

Clipper questions.
Where a policy detail is decided per campaign, it says so rather than pretending there is a network-wide rule already.
Who owns the clip I make?
The underlying content stays the client's. Ownership and permitted use of the edit itself are stated in each campaign brief, because they differ by client and by licence.
What am I allowed to use?
Only the source material the brief authorizes, only in the ways it authorizes, only within the window it covers. Using anything else — other episodes, other footage, other music — is outside the licence.
What happens if a clip gets a takedown?
Tell us immediately and do not repost it. The takedown process, and who handles the response, is defined in each campaign brief.
Do I get attribution or credit?
Clips run on your accounts, so the audience is yours. Whether you can name the client publicly is set by that client in the brief.
What about risk to my accounts?
You keep control of your accounts and you decide what goes on them. We will not ask you to post anything that breaches a platform's rules, and a brief that requires it is a brief you should refuse. Platform risk is real and we are not going to claim we can remove it.
How are disputes handled?
A rejected clip comes back with the reason and the rule it missed, so the standard is checkable rather than a matter of taste. The escalation route beyond that is being written and will be in the clipper agreement.
How is performance measured?
From the posts themselves, inside the campaign's measurement window, against the metrics named in the brief. If a metric is not in the brief, it is not what you are being measured on.
When do I find out what I am being paid?
Before you accept the work. Payout rules are part of the brief you read first. There is no rate card on this site because rates are set per campaign and we are not going to publish a number we cannot stand behind.
Does applying commit me to anything?
No. Applying is free, non-exclusive, and carries no obligation to take any campaign you are offered.
If you can find the moment, apply.
Existing work only. No samples, no spec posts, no fee.
